In 1916, J. Walter Becker started the Ideal commutator dresser company of Chicago from his mother's kitchen. He manufactured commutator dresser stones with the belief that every product should be worth more than the price paid for it. Service, he said, was part of the product. The Ideal 61-076 vol-con tester is an extremely rugged and reliable three-in-one tester that vibrates when a voltage is present. It tests for high voltage up to 600-Volt AC/DC and as low as 5-Volt AC/DC. It has an automatic switching continuity tester and replaceable leads with shielded probe tips. Also it has bright, long-life LED and neon indicator lamps and comes with a 5-year warranty.
